ABOUT US

Tombolo Multicultural Festival Newfoundland and Labrador (TMFNL) is a registered non-profit organization committed to promoting cultural diversity, intercultural understanding, anti-racism, inclusion, music, arts and culture as well as successful newcomer and new immigrant settlement and integration in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mandate:

  • Organize multicultural festivals, events and activities in communities across  Newfoundland and Labrador, to celebrate, showcase Canada’s cultural diversity, promote multiculturalism, intercultural understanding, ant-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion, intercultural community connections.
  • Promote multiculturalism, intercultural understanding and intercultural community building, anti-racism and inclusion.
  • Support local, newcomer, new immigrant and refugee artists, heritage
    performers, artisans and businesses by providing them opportunities to sale and promote their products and services to the public. At Tombolo Multicultural Festivals, Tombolo Multicultural Food and Craft Fairs and Tombolo Multicultural Market.
  • Promote local, newcomer and new immigrant tangible and intangible cultures.
  • Implement programs, events and activities to enhance and promote successful
    economic integration, settlement and retention of newcomers, new immigrants and refugees in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  •  Support and promote the works and services of newcomer, new immigrant and refugee artists, heritage performers, artisans and businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador.
